Australian Standards
Compliance & Care
In Australia, sunscreen is regulated as a therapeutic good. Every primary sunscreen sold legally here must comply with AS/NZS 2604:2012, the joint Australian and New Zealand standard, which sets the rules for broad-spectrum protection, SPF validation testing, water resistance claims and labelling. We consider that a feature of the market: the shelf you buy from is held to a written standard, not a marketing claim.
Why It Matters to You
Sunscreen bought from a grey-market importer carries two quiet risks: no assurance the batch was tested to the Australian standard, and no control over the heat and handling it survived on the way here. A retailer that sources properly removes both.
How Studio Seoul Helps
- Sunscreen enters the studio only through authorised Australian distributors, so every batch is traceable by chain of custody.
- Every tube is genuine, current-batch stock. Grey-market and diverted product does not enter the building.
- We ship domestically, so your SPF travels days, not months, and never through uncontrolled heat.
